A thrifty mother found a simple solution to block the glare from both sides of the roller blind.

This woman from Tasmania used Bunnings' PVC molded parts to fill the annoying gap between the roller shutter and the window frame.

The two molds cost her only $5.30 each.

To fill in the gaps, she simply trimmed the molding lines so that they fit the bevels perfectly, and then sprayed them to match her gray shutters.

"Just want to share a little trick I made with roller blinds," the shrewd mother wrote in a Facebook group.

"I don't like the small gaps they leave on both sides, so I thought about how to cover them without spending an arm and a leg. So I came up with this idea.

She only paid $5.30 from Bunnings-and they can be trimmed to accommodate any bevels between the blinds and window frames
